Debaser [11 Oct 2006|03:14am] [ mood | okay ] [ music | Debaser - Pixies ] The Pixies are amazing. Sydney was fun. And I didn't even get sick of Jess, after spending 4 days with her. We stayed in Bondi but we didn't go to the beach 'cause the wind was insane. Instead we went to an internet cafe, heh :P. But the shopping was awesome. By the way, check this out. It's the journal of a man giving a flower to a stranger every day. Very interesting. :) Comment?

Ehhhh [05 Oct 2006|10:44pm] [ mood | satisfied ] I am so bored, but I just can't bring myself to go to bed. Tomorrow I shall have the house to myself, as my parents and David are leaving for the coast early tomorrow morning, then at 5 PM I'll be going to Jess' house. But yay, house to myself. Yay, loud music. Listened to the new Bob Dylan album earlier, I liked it. As with almost every album, it'll take a few more listens before I really get into it. By the way, in case you didn't know, Bob Dylan is the single coolest human being on the face of this earth. Comment?

I'm watching Naomi, full bloom... [05 Oct 2006|07:07pm] [ mood | calm ] [ music | "Pree-Sisters Swallowing a Donkey's Eye" - Neutral Milk Hote ] I'm not far off from finishing my first listen of Neutral Milk Hotel's On Avery Island. It doesn't sound great, but I've come to expect that as it usually takes me at least 2 listens to really get into an album. The only real exceptions being Beatles albums. But who doesn't like The Beatles? I suppose Neutral Milk Hotel are a more acquired taste. NMH's second, more successful album, In the Aeroplane Over the Sea would have to be one of my favourites. I enjoy every second of it, from the catchy guitar strum of "The Kind of Carrot Flowers Pt. 1" which opens the album, to the loud and fun "Holland, 1945", to the closing "Two-Headed Boy Pt. 2". It truly is, in my opinion, one of the greatest indie albums of all time. I love you, Jeff Magnum. 2 comments Comment?
